Jeffrey Bilhuber

Bilhuber-Everyday-DecoratingRenowned New York interior designer Jeffrey Bilhuber will speak on the topic of his new book, Everyday Decorating (Rizzoli 2019), and will offer practical decorating advice.  A lovely fit with the Philadelphia Antiques and Art Show, Bilhuber “takes his design cues from understanding the importance of history while optimistically looking toward the future.”  The newly published book will be available for sale throughout the run of the show.  Ticket price includes entry to the show, lecture and catalogue.  Ticket Price $30.00  Book signing after the lecture.

Laura Beach (the 2019 ADA Award of Merit Recipient) moderates a roundtable discussion with dealers and collectors on their best discoveries, how they made them and “the ones that got away.”  Attendance is included with show admission.  Seating is limited-reserve space through the ticket website or when you arrive at the show. PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART

Timothy Rub, the Museum’s George D. Widener Director and CEO, moderates a conversation with Beatrice Garvan, Curator Emerita of American Decorative Arts and David Barquist, H. Richard Dietrich, Jr. Curator of American  Decorative Arts about their publication, American Silver in the Philadelphia Museum of Art (Yale University Press 2018) and the exhibit the Art of Silver.  The catalogue will be available for sale throughout the run of the show.  This discussion is included with show admission. DAILY GUIDED SHOW TOURS

Each morning at 10-11 a.m., Philadelphia Museum of Art Fairmount Park House Guides share their knowledge of exhibitors’ booths with small groups. Reserve your place on a tour that highlights objects and art offered by the outstanding exhibitors and takes a closer look at the 2019 Loan Exhibit. Guided Show Tour Admission: $25 (includes $20 show admission).

MEET & GREET

The Women’s Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art hosts a tour of three dealer booths selected by show managers Karen DiSaia and Diana Bittel.  The dealers will each give a brief talk about their area of expertise and attendees will have a chance to chat with them.  Guided tour ticket includes show admission and catalog.  Reservations required.Tickets $25.00.
